Notice on Compiling Process Improvement Cases and Before-and-After Evidence from 2022

Check 2022 process improvement records using comparable tasks and consistent boundaries, distinguishing interventions, outcomes and other influences.

Those directly responsible for improvements in production, procurement, warehousing or services during 2022 should arrange checks with relevant roles before submitting cases. Each case should describe the initial problem, improvement objective and actions actually taken; general experience cannot replace implementation evidence. Label unfinished measures or limited pilots accurately instead of presenting expected effects as achieved results.

Establish comparable evidence boundaries

Specify business types, periods, samples and record sources before and after improvement, attaching necessary workflow descriptions and problem records. Explain changes in the comparison population. Where comparable tasks can be analyzed separately, avoid immediately combining them into an average. Qualitative observations may be retained when source records are limited, with explicit limits on the conclusions they support.

Check actions and actual results

Connect each action to a responsible role, implementation date and outcome evidence, checking quality, rework, staff workload and resources together. Explain overall effects when faster processing shifts additional checks downstream. Record concurrent changes in volume, equipment or staff separately rather than attributing all outcomes to one intervention.

Complete corrections and the archival version

The Association Office will check correspondence between case descriptions and attachments and request missing key evidence. Submitters should explain revisions and retain original drafts and validation records; disputed judgments belong in the limitations. Obtain authorization for charts and business materials intended for external use. Archiving does not mean a case has won an award or received formal recognition.
