Notice on Checking Contributions and Permissions for Joint Research Materials Relating to 2019

Distinguish data provision, analysis and writing, confirming internal verification and public-use permissions separately.

Participants or authorised custodians of existing joint research or data-collaboration materials relating to 2019 should prepare contribution statements. Verification is limited to available documents and participation records. One contribution of data does not automatically establish co-authorship, nor does this compilation confirm that an Association project was approved or published in that year.

Identify each party’s actual work

Describe roles in question development, collection, analysis, writing and checking, linked to retained emails, revision records or deliverables. Identify incomplete participation coverage honestly. Where only an institution is named, do not infer a particular individual’s contribution. Store later recollections separately from contemporary records.

Check ownership and permitted uses

Identify sources and existing permissions separately for each party’s text, charts and business materials. Permission for internal discussion does not automatically permit publication, attribution or transfer to third parties. Handle customer, personal and unpublished business information only as necessary. Where authority is uncertain, list the item and limitation without submitting restricted content.

Confirm statements and track changes

Where a compilation describes another party’s contribution or shared conclusions, ask the relevant provider to check it and preserve the confirmed scope and unresolved disagreements. Consult current intake requirements before submission. Record actual processing dates, evidence and affected versions when adding permissions, correcting attribution or changing contribution statements. Unconfirmed content must not be publicly presented as a shared achievement.
