Notice on Checking Management Research References and Citations Relating to 2019

Verify sources, versions and citation scope while separating original views from the compiler’s analysis.

Existing references concerning management research or thematic reading relating to 2019 may be checked under this notice. Compilers should rely on available originals, bibliographic details or retained records. Inclusion in an index does not make a work an Association research output, and its publication year is not automatically the year the compiler used it.

Index sources and versions

Identify titles, authors or issuing institutions, versions and known publication dates. Online references may include original addresses and the current checking date. Where only excerpts or secondary quotations remain, explain the source chain and available coverage. If the original cannot be found, state the verification limit rather than inventing pages, publication details or links.

Check citations against analysis

Check important quotations, data and conclusions for necessary context, including the location, population and period discussed. Distinguish direct quotation, paraphrase and the compiler’s own analysis. Do not remove conditions from an original conclusion to create a general claim. Research views do not themselves evaluate particular institutions or individuals.

Correct records and confirm permissions

Retain a source index and citation locations. Confirm permitted content and uses of restricted materials. Consult current receipt requirements before submission and do not attach full texts you cannot lawfully provide. If sources or wording are incorrect, record the evidence and actual revision date, checking related summaries, charts and explanations for corresponding changes.
