Vietnam Labour Forum 2019 discusses skills development and modernizing labor relations

Vietnam's Labour Forum links workforce skills, social protection and labour relations to economic upgrading.

The Viet Nam Labour Forum in Hanoi on 27 November 2019 was jointly organised by MOLISA and the ILO. It discussed technological innovation, global trade, ageing and climate impacts on jobs and firms.

The forum linked skills upgrading with social protection and modern labour relations. Research presented there found that employment growth over the previous decade concentrated in medium- and high-skilled jobs, increasing the importance of staff development and skills coordination.
