On 3 April 2017, the ILO presented a management-improvement case at Lam Viet, a furniture firm in Dong Nai, Vietnam. Through SCORE training, managers and employees jointly identified workplace problems, assessed solutions and implemented staff suggestions.
The case reports a 40% productivity increase, 10% lower production costs and 40% less overtime. Tool and material storage, lighting and ventilation improved, with substantially less time spent finding tools. These are that company's results at the time, not uniform outcomes for all firms.
The case brings frontline experience into improvement. Continuous management–employee dialogue turns daily issues into small, actionable changes, improving conditions and efficiency together.
